Community Guidelines
Scrub Social exists so travel clinicians can find friends, plans, and support in a new city fast. That only works if it feels safe. These are the rules; they apply to profiles, messages, boards, and events.
Be real
- Use your real name and a photo of you. No impersonation, no fake profiles, no catfishing.
- One account per person.
Be respectful
- No harassment, bullying, threats, or unwanted sexual advances. If someone doesn't reply, that's an answer.
- No hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or anything else.
- Disagree about the best taco spot all you want; keep it kind.
Keep it safe and legal
- Never share patient information, photos from clinical settings, or anything protected by HIPAA. Not even "anonymized".
- No sexual or explicit content. No content involving minors, ever.
- No spam, scams, recruiter mass-messaging, MLM pitches, or selling regulated goods. The Marketplace board is for members' own furniture, sublets, and gear.
- Don't post other people's private information (addresses, phone numbers, schedules).
Meeting up
Meet in public places, tell a friend, and leave if something feels off. Event hosts are members like you, not Scrub Social staff.
Reporting and enforcement
Every profile, message thread, post, event, and board has a "…" menu with Report and Block. Reports are anonymous. We review them and may remove content, warn, suspend, or permanently ban accounts. Serious safety issues are handled first. If you're in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
