Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Salt Life Tech ("we", "us") for using the Scrub Social app. By creating an account you agree to them and to our Community Guidelines and Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use Scrub Social
You must be at least 18 years old and a healthcare professional, student, or someone supporting travel clinicians. You may only create one account, and it must be yours. Don't impersonate anyone.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away at support@scrubsocialapp.com if you think it has been compromised.
3. Your content
You own what you post. By posting it you give us a license to store, display, and transmit it so the app works (for example, showing your board post to other members in your city). That license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies that remain briefly in backups.
You are responsible for your content. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share, and never share patient information or anything covered by HIPAA or similar laws. Scrub Social is a social app, not a clinical tool.
4. Conduct
Follow the Community Guidelines. In short: be respectful, be honest, keep it safe. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate them, with or without warning depending on severity. There is no tolerance for harassment, hate, sexual content involving minors, or threats.
5. Meeting in person
Scrub Social helps people find each other; we don't screen users or run background checks. Use the same judgment you'd use meeting anyone from the internet: meet in public, tell someone where you're going, and trust your instincts. Events are organized by members, not by us, and we aren't responsible for what happens at them.
6. Safety tools
You can block and report any user or content from the "…" menu. We review reports and act on them, but we can't promise a specific outcome or timeline.
7. Our service
The app is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it running, but we don't guarantee it will always be available or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us (currently nothing — the app is free).
8. Ending things
You can delete your account any time in Settings. We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms or the guidelines. Sections 3, 7, 9, and 10 survive termination.
9. Apple
If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
10. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA. If we make material changes we'll notify you in the app before they take effect; continuing to use the app afterwards means you accept the new terms.
