Safety Tips
Meeting up in person
- Meet in public the first time: a coffee shop, a busy restaurant, a group event. Not someone's home or hotel.
- Tell a friend where you're going, who you're meeting and when you expect to be back.
- Get yourself there and back. Keep your own ride and stay in control of when you leave.
- Group events are a good first step. Events on Scrub Social show who's going before you RSVP.
- Trust your gut. If something feels off, it's fine to leave, cancel or stop replying. You don't owe anyone an explanation.
Protecting your information
- Scrub Social only shows your city, never your exact location. Think twice before sharing your address, hotel, unit or shift schedule with someone you just met.
- We will never ask for your password, a verification code, or money. Neither should anyone else on the app.
- Be wary of anyone who quickly asks for money, gift cards or crypto, pushes you to move to another app, or has a story that keeps changing.
If something goes wrong
- Block: open their profile or your conversation, tap …, then Block. They can no longer see you or contact you.
- Report: same menu, tap Report, or press and hold a message to report it. Reports are private and reviewed within one business day.
- In danger? Call your local emergency number (911 in the US) first. Then let us know in the app (Settings › Help & Support › Contact Us) or at support@scrubsocialapp.com.
